Job Description
Position: Electronic Manufacturing Technician
The Electronic Manufacturing Technician is required to:
1. Test, fault find, and repair various electrical or electronic systems and components of rotary steerable systems.
2. Work on Measurement While Drilling tools and specialised measurement tools.
3. Repair and maintain rechargeable batteries for downhole use and power source products.
4. Collaborate with engineering and quality-driven manufacturing teams covering mechanical manufacturing technicians and supervisors.
5. Integrate and test electrical and electromechanical tools.
6. Maintain and repair the test equipment used for testing tools.
Experience:
1. Electronic technician experience of testing.
2. Low and high voltage experience.
3. Basic soldering, crimping, and assembly skills.
4. Basic fault finding and rectification at system and component level.
5. Further education in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (ONC, HNC, HND, NVQ Level 2).
Skills: Working within design constraints. Proficient with:
* Multi-meter
* Oscilloscope
* Low Voltage Power Supplies
* High Voltage Power Supply (up to 400VDC) for testing and debugging of electromechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities:
Producing deliverable items from full drawing packs with minimal additional help to relevant IPC standards.
