An opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Work Based Tutor to mentor, coach, and assess Electrical Installation Apprenticeships and NVQs. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of learners, conduct workplace visits, and provide coaching, mentoring, and assessment to ensure successful qualification completion.
The tutor will work collaboratively with learners, employers, and internal departments to ensure all elements of the apprenticeship are completed successfully and on time. Responsibilities include providing advice and guidance, managing enrolment, delivering training, and liaising with employers.
Applicants must be occupationally competent electricians, evidenced by holding a relevant electrotechnical NVQ Level 3 and/or registration with the JIB as an ‘Approved Electrician’. They should also hold the Assessors A1 Award (TDLB D32/D33) or TAQA 301 Award and be willing to work towards the V1 Award (TDLB D34) or TAQA 401 Award.
Training, teaching, or basic skills qualifications are advantageous but not essential. Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude are required. Flexibility to work additional hours and undertake significant travel is also necessary.
