They place a huge focus on supporting students who have been diagnosed with Autism, ensuring they receive the necessary interventions to support their development and education.
This specialist school believes every child has the potential to succeed and is committed to providing the necessary support to help them thrive. They also make use of therapy to better support their students, ensuring that any development gaps are covered and worked through. You will receive full training on the therapy.
Responsibilities in your role as an Intervention Support Worker:
1. Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and structured learning environment.
2. Collaborate with teachers, ABA Therapists, and parents to adapt learning materials to support students.
3. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
4. Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills.
5. Foster positive relationships with students, promoting trust and emotional safety.
6. Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students are engaged and participating.
The ideal Intervention Support Worker will have:
1. Empathy and compassion.
2. Confidence to support the classroom.
3. Previous experience with children is an advantage but not essential.
