Job Details: Quality Assurance Technician

Claxton is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Technician on a 6-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of being extended further. Based at their facility in Great Yarmouth, the QA Technician will be the main focal point for an ongoing project in the QHSSE department. They will attend update meetings with the dedicated team and provide updates on the progress made. The QA Technician will review asset documentation against the set criteria and update the asset app to show the correct asset status. The QA Technician will also maintain and develop Quality Assurance processes and review certification for product, in accordance with International standards and/or Client specifications, and learn and support the fundamentals of Health, Safety and Environmental Management.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Review asset documentation against the set criteria and update the asset app.
2. Propose and, where required, drive improvements to aid QA / QC efficiency and delivery.
3. Compile and review QA / QC certification.
4. Mediate and problem solve project / product QA / QC certification issues.
5. Report on QA / QC certification constraints and system deficiencies.
6. Interface with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Acquire skills and knowledge from technical experts.
8. Take advantage of opportunities that will stretch abilities and acquire skills and knowledge to assist in future development.
9. Take responsibility for your learning and career development.
10. Share ideas and skills with the business.
11. Attend regular 1:1s with QA / QC Coordinator to monitor progression.
12. Be introduced to the fundamentals of good HSE practice and attitude.
Requirements
1. Minimum of five GCSEs at grades 9-4 / A*-C, including Maths, Science and English.
2. Engineering based level 2 qualification.
3. Able to plan and prioritise own workload effectively.
4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
5. Conversant with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
6. Attention to detail.
7. Patient and able to work under pressure, to short timescales.
8. Enthusiastic, with a positive attitude.
9. Able to display initiative and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
10. Willing to learn.
