Are you an experienced PLC/SCADA Design Engineer? Join a leading EPC contractor who plays a key role in delivering cutting-edge engineering projects across multiple sectors, including Process & Water, Energy, Defence, Oil & Gas, and Nuclear. Due to continued success and exciting new projects, this company is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Southampton Head Office design team.
The Role
As a PLC/SCADA Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and modification of control panel systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with clients, project teams, and workshop operatives to deliver high-quality solutions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting pre-contract site surveys
2. Equipment selection and procurement
3. Designing control panel schematic diagrams and general arrangements based on User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Control Philosophies
4. Producing technical documentation packages for workshop operatives
5. Creating Operation & Maintenance Manuals
6. On-site fault finding and electrical system modifications
7. Preparing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Site Progress Reports
What We're Looking For
1. Experience within PLC/SCADA Design
2. Strong knowledge of BSEN 61439 LV Directive
3. Qualified electrical engineer (or equivalent industry experience)
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with Promis-e is advantageous but not essential - training can be provided)
