You will lead the Sales function within the UK & Ireland for this high-growth global £200m+ revenue business with manufacturing operations within the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, France, and Germany supplying international clients. Their solutions-focused manufacturing offers a whole range of products designed to simplify complex infrastructure projects.
Their market-leading brands, Cubis Systems, NAL, and FILOform, supply smart, safe, and sustainable product solutions to a range of construction sectors. Through innovation, they enable construction partners to optimise efficiency and safety through pioneering products designed for simplicity, speed, and reliability.
They see plenty of opportunity for growth and improvement, across their various brands and products, both organically and potentially via acquisition.
As Sales Director you will lead the development of the region’s commercial organisation and implement the IPE strategy for the UK & Ireland. The Sales Director will develop, drive, execute the regions commercial strategy to achieve the growth aspirations and financial targets including sales, margins, and market share across IPE businesses within the UK & Ireland. The Sales Director will lead a team of Sales and Commercial Managers within the region and must be able to develop, articulate and communicate business objectives, to develop a culture of growth and future readiness for the business, aligning their team, and the wider business which provide solutions to their customers.
You should have experience in a similar sales leadership role within a medium-large (c£100m+ responsibility) technical building products manufacturing business.
In addition potential candidates:
* 5+ years Senior Commercial / Sales level experience within large, global building materials and/or manufacturing business
* Must have experience in technical specification-driven sales in building products
* Must have demonstratable experience in driving aggressive growth strategy, with a strong track record of achieving and stretching sales targets
* Able to demonstrate experience where they have worked in an influential role, proving their agility and resilience to deliver growth within a large, fast-paced environment
* The Sales Director must be mobile and have the flexibility to travel both within the UK & Ireland, approximately 2-3 days per week, with some international travel required quarterly.
* Proven leadership and strategic capabilities with the ability to manage different stakeholders and multi-tiered teams within a large organisation
* Proven ability to lead commercial teams, including customer relationship management, pricing, specification and strong negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication skills, with the flexibility and adaptability to liaise with and manage at all levels in the organisation.
* Pragmatic, result-driven with an eye for detail and the ability to be both strategic and detail-orientated.
* Positive attitude, open-minded team player able to collaborate across a global organisation.
Naturally, as in any leadership role, you need to be visible with travel throughout the UK and Ireland. Where you live doesn’t really matter, unless it’s the extremes of the UK.
