The Governors of Bedwas High School seek to appoint a Learning Pathway Base Assistant Manager/Learning Support Assistant to work with the Learning Pathway Manager and the Assistant Headteacher for Wellbeing and Inclusion on a wide-ranging school-based provision that seeks to develop a highly engaging and successful alternative provision for some of the school's most vulnerable students. The Learning Pathway Base is a new provision for the school, and as such is a fixed-term position, in the first instance. This Grade 5 post would be led by a Grade 7 Learning Pathway Manager in the Learning Pathway Base, which is also being advertised.The position involves working closely with a small number of pupils, their parents/carers, teachers and other stakeholders to facilitate a bespoke learning provision in a safe environment that is based in the leisure centre area of the school. The post will support the development of the provision to be a highly personalised approach to supporting pupils with their learning in the Learning Pathway Base classrooms by collaboratively developing personalised learning plans for pupils. This position would be suited to a candidate with a proven track record of pastoral care, youth work or school-based behaviour management experience.
