Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Class Teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse needs? We are seeking a motivated Class Teacher to join a supportive Special School in South Woodham. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to inspire and nurture students, fostering both academic and personal growth in an inclusive environment.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on tailoring education to meet individual needs and is eager to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes for students.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH and other associated SEN.
* Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and emotional well-being.
* Monitor and assess student progress, using data to adapt teaching strategies and provide feedback.
* Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure holistic support for each student.
* Contribute to the school’s ethos by leading on areas such as assemblies, extracurricular activities, or school-wide initiatives.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare reports for families and stakeholders.
* Participate in continuous professional development and performance reviews to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
Qualifications and Experience
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and strategies for differentiation.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Experience teaching in a Special School or SEMH setting.
* Further training or qualifications related to SEN or SEMH.
* A reflective and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
