Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Witham, Essex
Hours: 39 hours per week. Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:35pm and Friday 7:30am – 13:10pm.
Salary: £Competitive

What our client offers:
* Provide hands-on support for injection moulding processes at the manufacturing site.
* Assist in the implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, procedures, and systems.
* Support the setup of production areas during new product introductions.
* Analyse data to identify root causes of process failures and define system requirements.
* Respond to process stoppages, troubleshoot issues, and reduce downtime to ensure smooth production runs.
* Identify efficiency improvements to enhance productivity and drive cost savings.
What we are looking for:
* 3-5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
* Nationally recognised technical qualification in injection moulding, mechanical, industrial or electrical engineering.
* Strong understanding of injection moulding methods.
* Sharp problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
* Familiarity with standard manufacturing techniques (experience with LEAN principles is a plus).
* Ability to apply critical thinking to diagnose and resolve production or engineering issues.
* Proficiency in reading technical instructions, engineering manuals, and machine-related documents.
* Skilled in collaborating with diverse teams, building solid relationships across departments (Safety, Production, Quality, Procurement, Suppliers, and Product Development).
* Experience with basic mechanical assembly, including the use of hand tools and measuring equipment, is beneficial.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and national regulations regarding processes and procedures.
* Basic project management knowledge is an advantage.
