Security Architect An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Security Architects at Senior Manager level to join a growing Technology & Transformation team, specialising in Cyber, Defence, and Security. Eligibility Requirements : All applicants must already hold an Active SC (Security Check) Clearance from a Central Government/National Security body. Location : London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester Salary : £80,000 - £115,000 This role offers the chance to work on high-impact programmes that enhance national security and contribute to some of the most ambitious projects undertaken in the sector. Key Responsibilities Include : • Designing and maintaining security architectures aligned with business goals, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. • Developing architecture patterns and approaches for emerging technologies and solutions. • Conducting risk assessments and scoping vulnerability assessments to identify potential security threats. • Providing specialist technical advice and identifying security solutions to meet client objectives. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and third parties to ensure secure system integration. • Leading technical engagements and working with subject matter experts across Identity, Security Testing, and Privacy. • Staying informed of emerging security threats and technologies and recommending improvements. • Conducting security audits and assessments to ensure compliance. Essential Skills and Experience : • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS). • Demonstrated expertise in security architecture, designing and implementing controls and solutions. • Proficiency in network security, encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms. • Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM. • Knowledge of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, Google) and DevSecOps practices. • Experience in automated deployment techniques and CI/CD pipelines. • In-depth understanding of Government security requirements, including JSP 440 and Secure by Design principles.
