Job summary Part Time: 20 hours We are looking to recruit an experienced senior nurse to work as a Band 7 Parkinsons Disease (PD) Specialist Nurse within the Neurology Specialist Nursing service at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a knowledgeable individual with highly developed interpersonal and excellent communication skills and has a passion for delivering excellence in care and driving improvements and developments across the PD service which sit within the Rehab and Elderly Medicine Directorate. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate an interest and sound clinical knowledge as well as an understanding of the specialist care and management required by patients across the PD pathway. Whilst the specialist nurse role provides inpatient, outpatient, and an in-reach service to support patients, carers and staff with specialist advice, education and training in managing PD and its associated complications. We welcome applications from experienced or existing Band 7 PD specialist nurses, as well as nurses working at Band 6 level aspiring to progress into a specialist nursing role within neurology.
