Quality Technician sought by successful manufacturing business investing heavily in plant and people. The role entails the inspection of castings and post machined items using 3D scanning technology and other measuring equipment.
Handling Quality matters relating to the receipt and inspection of in-house manufactured and purchased goods, you will implement and monitor Quality Control procedures to ensure all goods meet the required criteria and assist the Quality Manager with the management of QMS and EMS.
The Quality Technician will undertake internal Audits and complete Corrective Action Reports and Non Conformance Reports.
Ideally experienced in a precision engineering environment, you are competent in the use of measuring equipment such as verniers, callipers, micrometers and height gauges to tolerances of a micron - ideally you will have 3D scanning technology experience too although training can be provided.
The Quality Technician should ideally have a working knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS and castings/fabrications and some formal training in internal auditing and QMS processes. You should have some experience in writing reports and creating QMS documents. Knowledge of load testing advantageous.
