Public Policy Manager, UK Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Join AWS Public Policy team to help shape the future of cloud computing in the UK. We're seeking an experienced Public Policy professional to drive AWS's engagement with policy-makers and industry bodies across the UK. This London-based role will lead our policy initiatives on broader economic and digital policy matters affecting cloud computing in the UK and will work on other EMEA projects.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute policy strategies on key economic and digital policy developments affecting cloud computing.
2. Lead AWS's engagement with UK government departments and parliamentarians on those policies.
3. Manage relationships with trade associations and industry coalitions.
4. Drive thought leadership initiatives and policy research projects.
5. Coordinate with other AWS and Amazon teams to ensure alignment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Relevant experience in public affairs, government relations, or trade associations.
2. Deep understanding of UK political and regulatory processes.
3. Proven track record in technology policy advocacy.
4. Strong existing network within UK government and industry circles.
5. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in law, economics, or related field preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. In-house public affairs experience in technology sector.
2. Legal background with experience in a law firm.
3. Strong project management capabilities and stakeholder management skills.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
5. Strategic thinking and ability to operate in ambiguous environments.
6. Experience in building coalitions.
