Role Overview
proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.
Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Event Technician to be a key part of our London team, representing proAV and working onsite, taking full responsibility for providing support of fully integrated conference rooms, boardrooms and large complex environments such as auditoriums. The Technician interfaces daily with the customer and acts as an extension of their team. Their responsibilities generally include the operation and functional testing of all AV and integrated conference room components/equipment. The Technician works in cooperation with the customer’s management team in support of their equipment and user community.
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Event Technician to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate event requirements/schedules with clients.
2. Attend client pre-production meetings to effectively plan the scope.
3. Direct & manage all technical aspects of live events.
4. Ensure event spaces are fully tested to guarantee room functionality.
5. Setup/operation of integrated event spaces including high profile auditorium-based results presentations and town halls.
6. Post event reporting to highlight production improvements and enhancements to service.
7. Manage technical logistics alongside facilities and catering.
8. Ensure all video conferencing/UC requirements are configured and tested.
9. Liaise with remote offices regarding the setup of video conferencing calls.
10. Provide workarounds in the event of equipment failure.
11. Multi-task, work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
12. Maintain a presentable demeanor and liaise with senior executives in a calm and professional manner.
13. Provide 1st and 2nd line audio visual support as requested.
14. Work within a team rota to provide support for both client’s London locations - Canary Wharf and Stirling Square.
15. Deliver all audio visual and media services to the business in a professional and efficient manner.
16. Assist and support the client in the use of purpose-built and portable AV equipment.
17. Maintain all equipment on-site, ensuring it is in working order and report any faults via onsite procedures.
18. Carry out first line troubleshooting to AV equipment and rooms within time constraints.
19. Work closely with the helpdesk and field service engineers, where required.
20. Perform other AV-related tasks as reasonably requested.
21. Maintain total confidentiality relating to information received for presentations and broadcasts.
Desirable Skills
1. Experience of supporting a variety of AV spaces.
2. Strong working knowledge and exposure to industry standard VMR service providers.
3. Experience of working with corporate VIPs.
4. Experience of running the AV aspect of presentations for high profile meetings.
5. Be organised and flexible with the ability to approach different types of tasks during the working day.
6. Excellent customer service skills with previous experience of dealing with all levels of executives advantageous.
7. Ability to prioritise and work under pressure is essential.
8. High level of computer literacy.
9. Willingness to work overtime if required.
10. Good communication skills both verbal and written, capable of communicating with company executives to building contractors.
11. Attention to detail ensuring high-quality standards in work completion.
12. A reliable, conscientious character who takes pride in completing tasks on time.
13. Ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
14. Strong working knowledge of industry standard video conferencing platforms.
15. Willingness to undertake training and examinations to improve technical knowledge.
