The HSEQOfficerwill support the development of a strategy to shape the HSEQandContinuous Improvement functions for the company. Working closely with theDirectors this role will deliver the HSEQ strategyanddrive a culture of continuous improvement. This role willbe responsible forensuring legislative compliance together with adherence of our IMS systems to ISO standards 18001, 14001and9001. Reporting to: Managing Director & Business Unit Operations Director Position: HSEQ Officer Key Responsibilities and Duties: Develop a strong working relationship with all levels of employeesandpromote a culture of engagement, understanding and compliance for all HSEQ policies and procedures. Monitor, review, improve and amend the Integrated Management System to ensure continual improvement and compliance. Develop further HSEQ initiatives and continualimprovements Complete compliant management system audits and inspections and manage a programme of corrective/preventative actions for continuous improvement, ensuring the highest standards in technical competence and safe working practices. Manage the completion of ISO9001 / ISO14001 / ISO45001 internal audits and providing effective solutions to support complianceregardingall external audits. Ensure the preparation of the Contract HealthandSafety Plans Perform site visits to ensure all necessary safety equipment / Documentation isavailable Perform or arrange accident reporting, recording and investigation asrequired Maintain records, inspections and calibration of lifting Appliances PPE, Gas monitoring equipment, Safety Audits and Accidents/Incidents Perform assessment of special equipment requirements asrequired Perform or arrange for the assessment of special trainingrequirements Liaison with company solicitorsregardingELandPI claims and undertakinginvestigations Support the Implementation, design, and development of risk management processes, including, Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessment and Fire Risk Assessment. Provide effective solutions for all company health and safety and compliance inductions. Provide effective internal training and coaching to operational teams in specific subject matters, such as Contractor Management, Incident Investigation, Risk Assessment and COSHH regulations. Attend and provide monthly Operational reports to Operational meetings andsubmitQuarterly performance and compliance reports to board meetings. To ensure that all working methods and procedures are relevant, clearly communicated, adheredtoand promote and portray the company in a professional,safeand compliant manner, whilst providing a safe place ofwork to a motivated and competent workforce focused on deliveringhigh standardsof workmanship and quality of service. To advise Managing DirectorandBU directors on the implications of current,newand pending health, safety, environmental and quality statute, approved codes of practice, guidance etc and their impact on existing procedures and methods of operation. Skills and Qualifications: 3 plus years experience in operational management or safety, health, and environment leadership NEBOSH general certification Previousexperience of producing internal audits tocomply withand45001 Accuracy, diligence, and a champion of embracing and driving effective compliance solutions. Excellent solutions, planning and organisationalskills Effective written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Degree level relevant qualification IOSH membership Salary depends on experience & will be discussed at interview.
