An international law firm is hiring an AML & Conflicts Analyst to join their team in Belfast on a hybrid working basis. You will be joining a growing team, and so will be working closely with a Compliance Officer and have the opportunity to make a big impact on the firm.
The function of this role is to assist with the onboarding of new clients and matters and consists of CDD and conflicts clearance.
In order to apply for this role, you should have experience in conflicts and/or AML checks, and excellent research and communication skills.
The responsibilities of this role will include:
* Conducting research on clients to meet CDD requirements
* Advising on CDD requirements for overseas offices
* Carrying out risk assessments at client inception, and keeping records when clients present a higher risk profile
* Researching adverse press and assessing its relevance
* Carrying out searches for PEPs
* Researching sources of wealth and funds and advising fee earners
* Escalating concerns to management
* Carrying out conflicts searches and reporting back to the partner or fee earner with potential issues
* Answering queries around billing and file opening
* Assisting the MLRO with researching suspicious activity reports
* Conducting training on onboarding issues
