Based at their Leicestershire Head Office, the Cash Accounting team plays a crucial role in providing finance support to key stakeholders, driving core processes and business initiatives.This is a dynamic and growing business, so success in this role requires adaptability to a fast-moving, evolving environment. The ideal candidate will have strong financial and management accounting skills, alongside financial analysis expertise, to ensure robust financial controls and provide valuable insights to key stakeholders.A customer-focused mindset, attention to procedure, control, and auditability, and a passion for continuous improvement and automation will be key to excelling in this role. As part of the cash accounting team, the successful candidate will primarily support the international online business, contributing to financial efficiency and innovation. Key Responsibilities Finance Management ? Support collective responsibility for payments for Next International Online transactions.? Ownership of international tender reconciliations and providing close insight and management of cashflow.? Daily reconciliation of international payments received to ensure discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner. Cost Management and Stakeholder Management ? Ensure costs are accurately accrued each month.? Follow a proactive approach to engage with Internal and External Stakeholders to bring issues to resolution. Analysis and Reporting ? Provide daily / weekly reporting around key cash KPIs to support cross-functional teams to address any issues and support key business decisions.? Support the audit process with any ad hoc queries? Take a future orientated approach to work, critically analysing processes to spot opportunities for growth, efficiency and automation. What we are looking for ? A proactive part-qualified accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA with proven experience/key desire to work and develop in a large fast-paced company.? The ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively, maintaining attention to detail and quality.? Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.? Ability to self motivate and show resilience in a challenging, innovative environment with changing priorities.? Proven ability to plan and prioritise workloads whilst working to strict deadlines.? Can effectively communicate and collaborate both orally and in writing and have the ability to influence and constructively challenge.? Strong control skills.? Exceptional working knowledge of MS Office (esp. MS Excel) suite of products, Google G Suite is desirable.? SQL/Microsoft SSMS/Databricks is experience is desirable.
