We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man/Woman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, enabling them to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be interacting with site managers to address their needs and ensure their satisfaction.
Responsibilities
1. Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
2. Conduct routine inspections of premises to identify issues requiring attention.
3. Paint walls, doors, and other surfaces to maintain aesthetic appeal.
4. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from management.
5. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
6. Collaborate with other tradespeople when necessary for larger projects.
Requirements
1. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
2. Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of general maintenance techniques and methods.
4. Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in maintenance tasks.
5. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry is advantageous.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
7. Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
8. Flexibility around hours and days is ideal for on-call jobs.
9. A valid driver's licence for travel between depot sites.
