.Our client are seeking an Inhouse Employee Relations Specialist to join their people function team, to lead and enhance service delivery, support HR Business Partners and and mangers, and ensure continuous improvement in ER and policy functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations (ER):
* Manage ER activities across all sites and departments.
* Handle day-to-day ER operations and capacity planning.
* Report on ER data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
* Oversee ER cases up to tribunals, ensuring efficient case management.
* Collaborate with HR Business Partners and line managers.
* Implement process improvements and standardise ER functions.
* Provide timely ER advice and manage inquiries.
* Advise on legal frameworks and train managers in best ER practices.
Policy and HR Governance:
* Develop and maintain up-to-date HR policies.
* Collaborate with HR and business partners on policy development.
* Ensure progressive, well-documented, and communicated policies.
* Train line managers on policy applications.
* Identify and mitigate risks related to policy adherence.
Employment Models:
* Conduct audits and implement recommendations.
* Protect the employment status of casual and permanent colleagues.
* Review and adapt employment models to suit operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Extensive ER and policy management experience with a customer service focus.
* CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
* Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
* Commercial acumen and risk management ability.
* Proven track record of partnering with senior stakeholders.
* Knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment law.
* Experience in unionised environments is an advantage.
Impact:
* Manage ER, Legal, Tribunal, and Occupational Health budgets.
* Ensure high ER compliance, quality service, and timely case resolutions.
* Provide clear ER data reporting and trend analysis.
* Achieve satisfactory resolutions of complex ER cases and risk mitigation.
