Location: Chesterfield / Home Based (with some travel to regions)

Role Overview
Reporting to the Group Commercial Finance Lead, the Finance Manager - Fees & Costings will be responsible for collating financial and operational data, providing insightful assessments and analysis to improve profitability. The primary focus will be on group-wide revenue streams, costings, pricing reviews, and process improvements/standardisation.
Your Responsibilities
1. Business partner the Business Development support function with costing new and existing schemes.
2. Document, standardise, and automate costing processes.
3. Utilise CareCubed software for pricing analysis.
4. Identify legacy fee issues and escalate accordingly.
5. Business partner the Credit Control function to support timely query resolution.
6. Manage and train a small team, supporting with uplift process and reporting.
7. Support annual uplift negotiations with funding authorities.
8. Ensure standardisation of revenue and uplift recognition and reporting across regions.
9. Reconcile different revenue streams vs invoice value and cash received, identifying issues and appropriate resolutions.
10. Align costings to approved business cases, identify risks/opportunities, and any variances impacting profitability.
11. Identify opportunities to improve P&L performance.
12. Ensure funding agreement is sought and reflected in agreed fees for increased care requirements, contingency, or PBS input.
13. Seek best revenue recognition and costings practice across the group to improve data integrity and drive process standardisation.
The Main Skills and Experience for This Role
Essential
1. Studying towards or qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
2. Proficiency in financial systems and advanced MS Excel.
3. Strong commercial and analytical mindset.
4. Proven history of implementing and improving systems/processes.
5. Excellent communicator with the ability to succinctly summarise financial information for various stakeholders.
6. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work cross-functionally with both finance and non-finance.
Desirable
1. Prior experience in other areas of finance.
2. Prior experience in a healthcare organisation or similar industry.
3. Prior experience in a multi-site organisation.
4. Prior experience working within a transforming business.
