About the role:
In this busy and exciting role, you will analyse, understand and support improvements to specific areas of the factory. You will be working closely with the factory managers, operational excellence colleagues and the wider operations team to influence decision making and drive factory efficiencies. You will be involved in the full product lifecycle from inception to production.
Accountabilities:
1. Working closely with the operations team to understand factory performance and support decision making.
2. Translating complex financial decision making into actionable business insights.
3. Ensuring clarity of the expected and actual impact of any new operational initiatives, supporting the justification of investment where required (payback capital) and measuring returns post investment or post launch.
4. Acting as the financial guardian for costings - ensuring they reflect reality, outputs are clear, well-presented and have appropriate comparables.
5. Delivering ad hoc reporting related to factory performance.
6. Working with the operational teams to deliver robust operational performance forecasts.
7. Stepping up to cover the senior finance business partner and supporting duties carried out by the analysts as required.
8. Supporting the business with adherence to financial controls.
What you will need:
Ideally you will have previous experience of a similar role within a fast-paced food manufacturing or FMCG environment. You'll have experience of factory performance, labour efficiencies, material variance, standard costings, experience working with large data-sets, P&L and interpreting data into insights.
You will be qualified or working towards relevant qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA or equivalent and possess the ability to manage large volumes of data into usable formats.
Excellent communication, analytical, customer service and Excel skills will be key.
