Pulse is currently searching for an experienced Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist who can provide overall support, Working in a specialist school with children and young people aged 4 - 19 years located in Calne on acres of beautiful grounds. Developing the skills of pupils with communication needs arising from autism, social communication needs and developmental delays/disorders. About the role: As a Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist at our specialist secondary school, you’ll provide vital support to students with autism and learning disabilities. In this role, you’ll assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication problems, enabling each child to achieve their full potential. Collaborating with educators, parents, and other therapists, you’ll develop individualized plans tailored to each student’s needs. Your expertise will not only enhance their academic abilities but also improve their daily lives and interactions. This permanent position in Eltham offers a chance to make a lasting impact starting June 6th. Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist: Manage your own specialist caseload using developed clinical skills and innovative practice. Work with parents, carers and children in a supportive and person-centred partnership towards agreed goals and outcomes. Deliver 1:1 and small group therapy. Co-deliver therapeutic approaches within the classroom. What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist: HCPC & RCSLT registration. Have an understanding/commitment to understanding the theories of autism and their impact on communication.
