Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Lead and manage the production team, ensuring operational efficiency and achievement of KPIs.
🔹 Oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation to meet customer demand.
🔹 Drive on-time delivery (OTIF) performance, ensuring orders are completed on schedule and within budget.
🔹 Implement 5S, Six Sigma, and KAIZEN methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
🔹 Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
🔹 Monitor and optimise productivity rates, quality control processes, and cost efficiencies.
🔹 Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to streamline production processes.
🔹 Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing production team, ensuring training and progression opportunities.
🔹 Oversee facility maintenance and health & safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Proven experience in a Manufacturing/Production Manager role within the aerospace sector.
✔ Experience working with sheet metal and machining (Essential)
✔ HNC/HND (or higher) in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering – an apprenticeship is a plus!
✔ Strong familiarity with aerospace standards.
✔ Lean manufacturing expertise, including 5S, Six Sigma, and KAIZEN methodologies.
✔ Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
✔ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
🎓 Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Materials Science.
