Environmental Advisor
Fixed Term Contract

An opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Advisor to join the team at Morrison Construction, Galliford Try. Ideally you will be based in or around the Inverness Area and will have opportunity to travel across multiple Sites in the Region.
What you will be doing:
* Support construction business units and Environmental Lead on all environmental aspects.
* Implement the Environmental strategy and systems to ensure that the delivery of our operations meets exemplary environmental standards.
* Foster and support an inclusive, open, transparent, and collaborative environment that supports our Environmental culture, maturity, and behaviours to deliver HS&E excellence.
* Support the implementation of our HS&E strategy to drive continual improvement through the business.
* Proactively drive and promote our behavioural culture programme in line with the business.
* Represent and promote environmental in internal and external meetings, workshops, management reviews and forums.
* Implement our environmental management system, taking account of client requirements.
* Engage with internal and external key stakeholders through the project lifecycle.
* Provide environmental input to operational teams from the planning stage through to completion of any works.
* Support operational staff in the review of high-risk method statements and risk assessments.
* Conduct environmental reviews and inspections at our workplaces regularly.
* Support our learning and development programme by preparing and delivering training and awareness sessions.
* Utilise environmental performance KPIs to review performance and drive continual improvement.
* Investigate incidents and non-conformities, production of reports and leading opportunities for improvement.
About You:
* Open, curious, and analytically minded.
* Excellent communicator, written and verbal.
* Thrives in complex, dynamic working environments.
* Highly collaborative with outstanding relationship building capacity.
* Able to evidence a systematic approach to identify and analyse problems.
* Ideally experienced in environmental management in construction or similar regulated markets.
* Proven in environmental management, systems, risks, and legal frameworks.
* Experienced in delivering environmental role in a project lifecycle environment.
* Knowledge of data analytics and reporting systems.
* Full driving license and willingness to travel across projects/contracts in the region.
* Competent use of IT - Microsoft packages, Database systems.
