Join an organisation dedicated to exceptional service and positive change.\n\n Job Role Overview (WCA):\n \n A Functional Assessor working on Work Capability Assessments (WCA) is responsible for conducting medical assessments for individuals applying for disability-related benefits. The role involves evaluating a claimant's physical and mental health to determine their ability to work, based on criteria set by government guidelines.
Assessors analyse medical evidence, conduct face-to-face assessments, and produce detailed reports that inform benefit decisions. The job requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assess complex medical conditions objectively\n\n Salary and Benefits\n \nCompetitive Salary: £41,500 starting salary with £1000 increases after 6 and 12 months. \nGenerous Bonuses: Up to 10% for quality and performance.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm - Full-time and part-time positions available after full-time training period.\n \n Role Overview:\n \nConduct Assessments: Evaluate claimants' health and/or work capabilities via phone and face-to-face assessments. \nReview Evidence: analyse medical evidence, health questionnaires, and daily living activities. \nCompile Reports: Produce detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
\n Training Program:\n Successful candidates will complete a 12-week comprehensive training program covering (amongst other things):\n \nAssessment Techniques: Best practices for accurate evaluations. \nDWP Guidelines: Requirements and guidelines of the Department for Work and Pensions. \nReport Writing: Skills for detailed and objective reporting.
Requirements:\n \nExperience: Physiotherapists with a minimum of 1-year post-registration recent experience in a relevant adult setting \nRegistration: Must have at least 1 year of active registration with NMC or HCPC. \nSkills: Strong communication, effective assessment skills, proficient at typing/report-writing, and excellent IT skills are essential.
