Adecco Kettering currently have a new opportunity to join a global manufacturing organisation as an Electrical Design Engineer.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, preferable experience within the manufacturing industry would be advantageous for your role to work efficiently within a growing business and support the existing team.
Location: Rushden
Salary: up to £40k
Hours: 37.25 hours per week, Monday - Friday (Core hours 9am - 3pm: flexibility to pick hours)
Start date: ASAP
Responsibilities for this role include:
1. Designing and laying out new electrical systems
2. Responsible for control panel electrical circuit design with safety interlocks, programmable logic controllers with detailed understanding of relevant standards like UL 508, IEC standard, etc.
3. Creation of electrical schematic diagram and control panel facility connections and field connections
4. Selection of OEM components (PLC, Sensor, Circuit breakers, Relays, Indicators etc.) for control panel design
5. Develop PLC, HMI and motion control software
6. Involvement in control panel testing and troubleshooting process
7. Testing new systems and making design changes if needed
8. Producing necessary design reports and documentation
9. Assisting in the manufacture of new electrical systems
10. Creation of Pneumatic circuit diagram
11. Involvement in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
12. Machine Installation & commissioning process/Electrical support at customer sites if needed.
Key skills required for this role include:
1. E3 CAD electrical
2. AutoCAD electrical 2018 or later
3. Electrical control panel design
4. PLC/HMI, Drives programming
5. Pneumatic circuit design
