We are looking for Senior Digital Project Managers who can lead the delivery of multiple digital projects in an agile, user-centric environment.
Our Digital Project Managers use a range of skills and methodologies, managing multi-functional delivery teams to deliver change, maintain our core applications, and deliver new services.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
* Experience of managing technical change programmes for large complex IT systems and advanced understanding of the project management lifecycle, with experience of leading project deliveries end-to-end, ideally within a government department.
* Working level experience in a project management role, well versed in different tools and techniques, knowing when to apply the right one.
* Ability to communicate with impact across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, tailoring messages to ensure they are right for the audience.
* Capability to motivate peers to deliver at pace and set a positive team environment, engaging to resolve difficult relationships and supporting teams to overcome conflicts.
* Adept at spotting project risks and blockers, working to remove or action them, and solving or escalating issues quickly and effectively, identifying themes and helping the team learn from experience.
* Experience of procurement, commercial and supplier management, and managing budgets. Be a creative and effective planner - both internal and external to the team - optimizing speed to market, value, and quality.
You and your role
You will be an experienced Senior Digital Project Manager and a trusted, expert voice in our community.
You will lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale complex digital change, ensuring project controls are in place, managing plans, risks, issues, and dependencies to effective resolution.
You will lead on governance, team management, and report progress directly to our Digital Directors, taking ownership of resolving complex issues and influencing decisions that require board-level approval.
You will manage team dynamics, coaching teams to improve flow, quality, and ownership throughout the team.
Part of this role is about managing conflicts and helping to establish a positive team culture, so the relationship and communication skills you have honed in managing successful projects will help keep us on track and delivering for our users.

Location: You’ll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face-to-face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of £55,557 to £66,058.
Pension: You’ll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £16,094 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 25 days and rising to 31 days over time. You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time, along with all the usual public holidays.
