An opportunity has arisen within our Health and Safety team for a Health and Safety Administration Assistant based at the Training and Development Centre in Sheffield.
We are looking for an Administration Assistant, where your organisational skills and attention to detail will play a crucial role in our daily operations. You will work in a fast paced and varied environment where your support is vital to our team’s success.
The overall purpose of the role will be to act as the initial point of contact for day-to-day enquiries regarding health and safety. Providing advice and guidance on administrative functions related to health and safety and carrying out administration duties within the team.
With an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent, you will have strong experience in office administration, and excellent organisational skills.
The key duties will include co-ordination of health and safety systems and data bases, responsibility for documented risk assessment registers, co-ordinating driving licence checks and development and updating of the H&S intranet site. The successful candidate will organise service wide health and safety meetings and have the ability to speak easily and confidently to management at all levels.

New starters will commence on the bottom of the salary grade and will receive increases to the top of the grade on an incremental basis. We offer 28 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays. Annual leave increases after 5 years’ service to 32 days, followed by an extra day a year up to a maximum of 37 days. We also operate a generous flexi time attendance scheme.
Most of our corporate roles offer flexi time and agile working, meaning people can vary their hours to suit their commitments outside of work as agreed with their line manager. Flexi time can be accrued with a potential of up to 13 days to be taken within a year.
