Role Overview
Our client is seeking a qualified clinician to join their Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team, conducting Autism and/or ADHD evaluations for children referred through NHS Patient Choice. This role will be based at a new clinic in the North East, with hybrid working options available for those able to travel for in-person assessments. Part-time roles will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for Autism and ADHD using established tools.
* Assess mental health conditions where required.
* Prepare professional assessment reports with appropriate recommendations.
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
* Supervise and support junior staff, depending on experience.
Qualifications & Experience
* HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, or Occupational Therapist, OR
* NMC-registered Nurse, OR
* GMC-registered Paediatrician.
* Experience conducting neurodevelopmental assessments with children and/or adults.
* Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis.
* ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R training.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
