About the service:
The East Cheshire Occupational Therapy Service delivers care in a variety of settings, including acute hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and community clinics.
On joining the 4 monthly rotations, you will cover a wide range of interesting and stimulating posts in clinical areas, including rotations in Orthopaedics, Hand therapy Outpatients, Rheumatology, Surgery, Medicine, and OPAL.
Main duties of the job
To rotate through a wide range of rotations including medical, surgical, orthopaedics, rheumatology, OPAL, and hands on a 4 monthly basis.
Occupational Therapist to undertake assessment of patients with a wide range of conditions and to work as autonomous clinicians, under the guidance of Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapists as required, using accurate analytical skills and clinical reasoning to interpret assessment findings, making diagnoses where appropriate, identifying patient problems, setting goals, and providing an appropriate treatment plan and progression.

Qualifications
* HCPC registration
Knowledge
* Knowledge of a range of assessment tools & interventions relevant to a broad range of patients
* Awareness of recent NHS legislation, recommendations
* Awareness of national and local priorities and changing trends
* A basic knowledge of the service / trust values & objectives
* Completion of in-house competency frameworks / relevant post-graduate courses

* Prior experience working in the NHS - broad range of NHS student placements in both physical and mental health settings
* Demonstrate an understanding of the Occupational Therapy service
* Completion of junior competency framework (or working towards)
