The Role
As the Account Executive / Associate Director for Commercial Insurance, you will play a key role in driving the business forward, and your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing and expanding commercial client accounts, both new and existing, to provide tailored commercial insurance solutions.
2. Working closely with clients to understand their requirements and providing complete professional insurance advice to clients across a range of sectors, ensuring their needs are met with tailored insurance solutions.
3. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for all insurance-related matters.
4. Dealing with the selling, processing, and administration of new contracts, renewals, and MTA's.
5. Liaising and negotiating with underwriters to identify the most suitable insurance products for your clients.
6. Conducting regular policy reviews and identifying opportunities for clients to improve coverage or save on premiums.
7. Negotiating renewals and new business to achieve targets and deliver exceptional client outcomes.
8. Providing advice and guidance on risk management and insurance trends.
9. Staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure clients receive accurate and timely advice.
10. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of service and customer satisfaction.
11. Supporting the wider team to provide subject matter expertise.
About You
1. Previous experience working in commercial insurance as either a Senior Insurance Broker, Account Handler, Account Executive or Director.
2. A deep knowledge of the commercial insurance industry and its products and solutions.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and insurers.
4. Ability to manage a diverse client portfolio and handle multiple priorities effectively.
5. Strong negotiation skills.
6. Insurance qualifications (CII or equivalent) would be desirable.
7. Working knowledge of insurance software (Acturis would be desirable but not essential).
