NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
NHS GGC are looking for an exceptional leader to join the senior management team to lead the development of the community pharmacy network.
The post holder would have a key role in ensuring that all community pharmacy services are organised as a single, co-ordinated, effective, consistent and efficient pharmaceutical service to patients across the totality of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This will involve strong leadership, effective communication, influencing skills and high level planning to minimise risk and divergence in quality of service across NHSGGC.
The post holder will lead and directly line manage senior pharmacists in community pharmacy development, palliative care and the Community Pharmacy Contracts Management Team. The post also provides professional leadership for the lead pharmacist in Addictions services.
