Procurement Quality Assurance Representative (PQAR) is required to support overall implementation of project procurement quality assurance program for Pickering Refurb & Boiler Replacement (RFBR) project. PQAR is reporting to Quality Assurance Manager Procurement. This role will be based in Pickering, ON. Your role within the team:
* Evaluation of supplier's capability to provide items or services in accordance with the requirements of procurement documents, prior to contract ward.
* Perform vendor qualification audit as required.
* Perform QA review of procurement packages, such as EQR package and technical documents.
* Prepare Quality Tender Evaluation and bid evaluation.
* Provide inputs in selection of ITP control points based on technical requirements and lessons learned from other projects.
* Perform source surveillance at supplier facility as per approved ITPs in accordance with RFBR Project quality program.
* Verify item at vendor locations and perform final inspection.
* Sign the Quality Assurance Release in accordance with project instructions.
* Distribute Quality Assurance Release (QAR).
* Review and accept vendor documents such as inspection procedures, ITPs, and History Dockets.
* Interface with Client and Suppliers in resolving quality issue and report any major findings and negative trends to Project procurement QA Manager.
University or college degree in Engineering.
* Minimum of 3 years major project working experience. (Relevant nuclear field experience is absolutely an asset).
* Previous experience with manufacturing facility on pressure boundary and nuclear components.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment, and techniques.
* Good knowledge of CSA N 285.0, CSA N 299 and CSA N286-05 and ASME BPVC codes.
* Good understanding of relevant CANDU systems, and retube technology.
* Good knowledge to write procedures and review documents on a technical level.
* Good knowledge and experience of special process (welding and heat treatment etc.) and NDE.
* Basic computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
