This Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant role in Grantham is an ideal opportunity to put your understanding of child development, behaviour, and learning into practice while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities of Psychology Graduates – Teaching Assistant (TA):
* Deliver 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN needs.
* Assist in delivering targeted interventions for children with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
* Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and support staff to implement individual learning plans (IEPs).
* Support students in developing coping strategies, confidence, and independence.
* Help create a calm, structured, and engaging learning environment.
* Use your psychology knowledge to observe behaviours and support emotional well-being.
Requirements:
* A psychology graduate with a passion for education and SEN support.
* Some experience working with children with SEN.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support.
* A commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.
* Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
