About the role; Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics teacher We are recruiting an experience Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics teacher to join our Construction and Engineering faculty based at Bracknell and Wokingham college. You will be working towards creating and delivering excellent teaching, learning and assessment across levels 1,2 & 3 courses. Our Faculty has an excellent record of delivering vocational courses with employability embedded at their heart. This is achieved through excellent relationships with industry and the employment of experts with extensive professional experience within the teaching team. We deliver well-established and highly successful professionally accredited courses in Electrical Engineering. This role is a full time, permanent position based at Bracknell and Wokingham college. We are offering an annual salary up to £42,182 and may consider a hard to fill supplement (depending on qualifications and experience). What do you need to be successful as a Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics Teacher? We are looking for a Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering Teacher who can act as role model for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement. Whilst previous teaching experience or qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach Electrical Engineering courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector. Level 3 or above qualification in Electrical Engineering and or Mechatronics Industry experience in the above fields. Teaching qualification/experience Educated to GCSE level 4/C or equivalent including Maths & English. In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
