Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Strategy & Governance to join our team at our Head Office in Liverpool, UK. The main goal of the Head of Strategy and Governance is to drive excellence and execution efficiency and clarity. To provide direct support to the Group Head of IT by facilitating and coordinating strategy development, organisation development, incubation of new programs (IT Governance), and leading operational improvement efforts. As the Head of Strategy and Governance you will interact with other leaders in a variety of disciplines and positions to act as an extension of the Head of IT to balance priorities, communicate effectively and maximise the effectiveness of the leadership team.
You will gain exposure to a broad range of disciplines including thorough technical knowledge, key business practices, and financial acumen. In this role you will provide oversight to the teams responsible for innovation and delivery of internal administrative services to the IT organisation (HR, finance, procurement, vendor management, and risk and compliance) and Group Head of IT-backup support to all others of the IT organisation.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
* Deep familiarity with highly technical product development teams and processes across software, product, user experience, and data science, and an understanding of the applicability of different skills and methodologies.
* Excellent understanding of project management principles.
Required Competencies
* Strategic thinking and business acumen.
* Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
* Excellent project and program management skills.
* Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
Required Work Experience
* 5+ years IT Leadership / Program Management experience, preferably in a TIC business.
* 5+ years of leadership responsibility in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
* Extensive experience in managing operational, strategic, and IT administrative units.
* Experience in complex, critical project management roles while seeking simple solutions.
* Experience in business planning, strategy and operations.
* Experience with budget management preferred.
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar discipline.
* MBA preferred.
