The WISH Centre is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist in Integrated Sexual Health. The post holder will be required to have proven clinical skills in integrated sexual health, with post registration qualifications in sexual health and contraception.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and the applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to be forward-thinking and passionate about delivering a high standard of care. You will be expected to be a responsive and conscientious professional that is able to work as part of the Multidisciplinary team. A sound knowledge of safeguarding is essential. An active registration as a Non-Medical Prescriber and/or LoC SDI or LoC IUD is desirable.
The WISH Centre is a part of Unity Sexual Health, which provides specialist integrated sexual health services in the BNSSG area. The WISH Centre provides Level 3 integrated sexual health care in North Somerset, where people can access contraception and sexual health during the same appointment. The clinical team consists of experienced clinical nurse specialists, some of whom are Non-Medical Prescribers, IUS/IUD and Sub dermal Implant fitters, Consultants, and Health Care Support Workers.
This is a permanent contract. The vacancy is within sexual health services until 31.03.2025, and thereafter the post holder may be based in a different specialty in UHBW. Further details can be discussed by contacting us for more details or discussed at interview.
Hours: Monday 8.30-17.00, Tuesday 11.00-20.00, Wednesday 12.00-17.00, Friday 8.30-14.30, Saturday 9.00-13.00 (One Saturday a month).
