This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time Mental Health Practitioner within our Crisis Triage and Response Team based in Chester. The successful applicant will be expected to work across Urgent Care Mental Health First Response Services, which will include Crisis Triage and Response Service, Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams, Liaison Services, Street Triage Services, and Liaison and Diversion Services.
Main duties of the job
The role of a Practitioner is to work within a multi-disciplinary team, providing a comprehensive assessment of people presenting in crisis. You will undertake detailed assessments of people’s needs and use your clinical skills and knowledge to provide intervention and treatment.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Recognised qualification in mental health – RMN, AHP, Psychology, Social care (AMHPs)
* Evidence of further professional development involving serious mental illness.
* Willingness to undertake and complete nurse prescribing certificate.
* Non-medical Prescribing certificate
Knowledge and Expertise
* Specialist knowledge and experience of crisis and urgent care pathways within working age and older adults
* An understanding of the Mental Health Act, Mental Health Capacity Act & DOLS requirements
* Awareness of community structures and social care options and processes
* Understanding of least restrictive practice.
* Information Management and Technology skills.
Experience
* A good amount of post registration experience or demonstrated competencies through Personal Development Plan
* Multi-disciplinary team work.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
