Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Coordination : Manage and develop a team of engineers and workshop staff, ensuring they are aligned with company objectives and project goals. Quality Delivery : Oversee hardware design and build processes for control systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, applicable standards, and health & safety regulations. Process & Standardization : Develop and enforce internal standards and procedures to maintain consistency and compliance across projects. Team Development : Provide line management, including training, development plans, appraisals, and ensuring your team is meeting stakeholder requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Facilitate effective communication between your team and the wider business, ensuring efficient resource allocation and problem resolution. Continuous Improvement : Lead efforts to enhance quality systems, driving improvements across all hardware-related processes and ensuring a “right first time” approach. Stakeholder Interaction : Contribute to project scoping, costing, and tendering processes, while maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. What We’re Looking For: Experience : Minimum of 10 years in systems integration, with significant experience in hardware design and team leadership. A relevant HNC/HND/Degree (or equivalent) is preferred. Technical Expertise : Strong ability to understand and produce control system design documents, and a good grasp of applicable national and international standards. Leadership Skills : Demonstrated success in leading teams, driving development, and creating a positive work culture. Problem Solving : Excellent time management and the ability to resolve work priority issues while ensuring the timely delivery of projects.
