Salary: £42,000 per annum (inclusive of call out) plus Company Vehicle, Pension, Health plan, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
Hours: Monday to Friday- 45 hours per week
Standby: 1 in every 4 weeks.
We are advertising this Refrigeration Engineer role on behalf of our client ‘CBES’, part of CITY FM. City FM was established in 1985 and the company has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to effectively maintain service and repair refrigeration equipment in customer locations & provide assistance to HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits as well as ensuring that health and safety is at the forefront of all actions.
Principal Accountabilities:
* To be aware of regulations and codes of practice applicable to the tasks.
* To order and fit parts or components as prescribed by company procedures.
* To notify the company helpdesk of procedural task condition on occasion of works.
* To advise the GSMs of any repair, maintenance and installation issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store and to build rapport and promote the spirit of partnership with all GSM’s.
* To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the refrigeration supervisor/national refrigeration manager.
* To comply with health and safety at work act and the company’s health and safety policy.
* To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the refrigeration supervisor/NRM.
Skills / Background / Qualifications:
* Flexibility in working hours is essential for this role as well as the ability to be on call on a 1 in every 4 weeks basis.
* You must be a fully qualified Refrigeration Engineer with Refrigeration Handling C&G 2079 qualification (FGas Qualification)
* You should hold a NVQ / C&G Level 2 in Refrigeration or equivalent.
* You must have a full, valid UK driving Licence.
Experience in refrigeration / air conditioning maintenance and repair is essential for this role.
Experience providing assistance with HVAC equipment will be advantageous for this role.
CO2 training is desirable but not essential as the right candidate will be provided with this as well as Care Gas, SPA and any other relevant courses that are relevant to the role.
