Learning Support Assistant In Enfield Secondary School
Teaching Personnel is looking for experienced, motivated, and reliable SEN Learning Support Assistant who are looking to start work in January.
The successful candidates will have a passion for helping pupils become lifelong learners within a SEN education setting. The candidate will need to show and express excellent knowledge of basic Special Education needs, such as ADHD and ASD.
Experience and knowledge with PECS or Makaton would be an advantage for a successful candidate. Candidates must demonstrate the skillset and techniques to de-escalate distressed behaviours. A Caring background will also be strong candidates for an SEN Teaching Assistant Role.
The school is a mixed, secondary academy, situated a ten-minute walk from Enfield Lock train station. Inclusion is at the heart of the school, and they work hard to support the students so that they can achieve their very best and access a broad and balanced curriculum.
What we are looking for in you:
* Strong communication skills with excellent spoken and written English
* A genuine passion and desire to work with SEN pupils
* Recent experience working within a Primary Setting
* Recent knowledge of working with Early Years, KS1, and KS2
* Have a Child DBS on the Update Service (or willing to process one)
* Can collaborate well with others
* Caring, calm, and pro-active nature with a keen interest in SEN
Responsibilities:
* To contribute to the provision for students with SEN
* To contribute to the raising of the achievement of SEN students and support them in making good progress
* To contribute to the promotion of the well-being of SEN students within the Academy.
* To promote and safeguard the welfare of children you teach or meet.
