Platform engineer

Platform Engineer – (Platform, AWS. Terraform, CI/CD, Jenkins, MYSQL, Aurora, Infrastructure As Code, IaC, Migration, GitLab, PostgreSQL, RDS) – Contract – Watford/Hybrid Charles Simon Associates are working with a well known National business who are looking for a Platform Engineer on an initial 6 month contract based out of Watford with some hybrid working. This role is inside IR35 and will be onsite 2 days per week, home based the rest. Location: Watford/Home Based Rate: Up to £650 per day D.O.E Length: 6 months initial, possible extension Skills/Requirements for the Platform Engineer: Previous experience working within similar roles Strong Terraform experience Familiarity with CICD practices Extensive AWS experience Previous migration experience Infrastructure As Code (IaC) Jenkins or GitLab experience MYSQL and/or PostgreSQL experience AWS Aurora experience Amazon RDS experience Start date is ASAP for the Platform Engineer The Platform Engineer will be responsible for: Running multiple migration projects within the business’s different areas Maintaining and improving the existing secure developer platform Working with the product teams to help delivery automation, tooling and cloud infrastructure Contributing to the Cloud team standards, identifying and implementing improvements to processes, tools, and standards Creating and testing IaC (Infrastructure as Code) using Terraform Communicating with various stakeholders within the business, to confirm deadlines are being met Please send an up-to-date copy of your CV to be considered for the Platform Engineer Platform Engineer – (Platform, AWS.
