England Golf is seeking applications for one contractor position in the performance team as a lead coach, working on a national level with our England Disability Squad. As the lead coach for this squad, you will be responsible for the development and preparation of players in the England Disability Squad. The role will initially be contracted for 16 delivery days, which will be broken down into coaching camps, competition attendance, individual player support and continued professional development. Key Responsibilities The main purpose of the position will be to prepare and coordinate all aspects of the squad for competition which includes the designing, implementation and management of a periodised programme for each individual at squad camps and in their home training environment and to work with the Performance Director and Squad Manager to: Design and implement a planned and strategic approach to the performance environment. Design and implement an optimal learning environment to impact each player's performance needs. Design and manage an appropriate support structure and world-class performance service to facilitate improved performance. Liaise, build and develop excellent working relationships with players' personal coaches. Lead in the development of each player's personal development plan. Communicate between national lead coaches on all aspects of player development as appropriate to members of this squad. Assist in an advisory capacity, in the search, selection and development of golfers that will impact the squad and teams for golfers with a disability. Develop and drive a winning culture and strong work ethic. Provide regular progress reports to the performance director. England Golf Safeguarding and Protecting Children Requirements This role has been identified as involving access to adults at risk and/or children and, in line with England Golf policy, persons undertaking this role will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Disclosure Check and must also have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children course (SPC) or be willing to undertake one.
