We are supporting a long-standing company within the Stoke on Trent area who have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join a small finance team permanently. If you have experience in areas including purchase ledger, payroll and credit control, this could be the perfect role for you!
Job Description for the Finance Assistant role:
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a Finance Assistant role where you’ll be getting involved in a variety of duties, which will include:
Completion of payroll through Xero – processing timesheets and checking all information is correct
Prepare and post payroll journal
Supporting with credit control by chasing outstanding debts
Sending out monthly statements
Post receipts
Preparation of weekly reports to send to Managers
Purchase ledger duties by overseeing the purchase invoice processing
Reconcile statements from suppliers
Preparation of monthly payment runs
Support management with other ad-hoc duties Candidate requirements for the Finance Assistant role:
Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant role where you have worked within a Finance department
Experience using Xero is preferable
Ability to work under own initiative
Good team player
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 Per Annum
