Responsibilities
1. As an experienced public health engineer working at Senior, Principal or Associate level, you will be taking a key role in the delivery of a range of our most prestigious projects.
2. The Bristol or Cardiff office is involved in mission critical facilities associated with aviation, healthcare and defence sectors.
3. We will be looking to you to not only be a client-facing representative of WSP, but also take a lead public health engineering delivery role providing innovative and sustainable solutions.
4. As part of the wider WSP team we will be looking to you to incorporate our philosophies of sustainability, net zero carbon, digital design, modern methods of construction and smart systems into your design work.

1. You will be joining a team with a strong forward workload / order book stretching into the middle of next year.

3. You will work closely with likeminded individuals on exciting and challenging projects.
4. Building Services in Bristol consists of 25 mechanical, electrical, and public health engineers as well as sustainability consultants who form part of the National MEP Team of nearly 400 MEP engineers.

7. You will be based in our Bristol office, offering easy commuting options via Bristol Temple Meads Train Station (10mins walk) and access into Bristol City Centre within a 10-minute walk.
Qualifications
1. Have working knowledge experience in UK public health building services design, including relevant standards, codes and regulations at Senior, Principal or Associate level.
2. Have the ability to work as part of a team, but also take a role in managing junior engineers towards the delivery of our key projects.
3. Be able to apply technical judgment and resourcefulness to feasibility studies, concept, scheme and detailed design, as well as construction support phases of projects.
4. Able to represent WSP to our clients, whilst also understanding and delivering client needs in engineering solutions.
5. Be able to manage the technical, cost and programme elements of project delivery.
The candidate shall have technical knowledge of the following aspects of PH design:
1. Building Water Services Design which includes domestic hot and cold water, greywater recycling and rainwater harvesting.
2. Building Sanitary Drainage Design.
3. Building Surface Water Drainage Design.
4. Building Fire Suppression Systems Design.
5. Building Gas Services Design.
6. Building Medical gas systems design.
