The role will involve coordinating a newly created Parkinson's disease Device Assisted therapies (DAT) clinic. The role will involve:
1. Building and maintaining a regional database of People with Parkinson's on DAT
2. Ensuring documentation for maintenance and support of People with Parkinson's treated with DAT
3. Administering the assessment process for eligibility for DAT for People with Parkinson's
4. Coordinating and administering a monthly regional and weekly local Parkinson's disease MDT
5. Administering signing of Blueteq forms for patients commencing NHS England funded DAT across the South West Peninsula
6. Providing administrative support to nurse and consultant-led DAT clinics
7. Coordinating the care of People with Parkinson's treated with DAT
Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.

Job responsibilities
Section 1 - Speciality Co-Ordinator:
* Ensure sufficient cover at all times. Work with service line teams to ensure sufficient administration staff are available during core working hours. Facilitate staff attending statutory training, and liaise with service line management team.
* Work with Clinical Admin Manager to ensure key performance standards in relation to patient access are met. This includes ensuring all data quality reports are actioned.
* Ensuring all specialty referrals are managed in accordance with the Trust's Waiting List Policy.
* Co-ordination of speciality waiting lists /PTLs within the framework of the Trust's Waiting List Policy and escalating concerns accordingly.
* Escalate concerns regarding capacity issues which affect patient access; and also working with service line management team to resolve such issues.
Section 2 - Administrative Support:
* Prioritise own workload including the typing of clinics, discharge summaries and medical reports.
* Ensure effective communication with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
* Sort and deal with all correspondence, keeping a satisfactory record and filing system.
* Collate results with patient casenotes, ensuring that they are seen and actioned promptly by the relevant clinician as per AGNs and access and efficiency standards.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
* Demonstrable experience as a medical secretary.
* Demonstrable ability to use all main software packages.
* Proven knowledge of patient management systems.
* Previous demonstrable supervisory experience or a qualification in supervisory skills.
* Use of PowerPoint.
* Demonstrate proven knowledge of Primary Target Lists, and waiting list management.
Qualifications
* RSA 3 or above, or equivalent.
Aptitude and Abilities
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to communicate at all levels.
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently as required.
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Ability to work well within a busy environment and meet deadlines.
