Teaching Fellow in Emergency Medicine (CT1/CT2) - Fixed Term 12 months
We are delighted to invite candidates to apply to work with us in the innovative and expanding Emergency Medicine department in the beautiful city of York. The post is planned as contributing to all areas of the service and there will also be commitments to Hull York Medical School teaching.
This post is based at York Hospital, and is planned as being a full time role with no on call commitment, beginning in August 2025 for a period of 12 months. All clinical hours will be worked in ED and 16 hours per week delivering bedside teaching to medical students. We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and dynamic individuals who will work well within the team to meet service demands and shifts will include days, evenings and nights and weekends. The post holder will be expected to take part in the management of the full range of ED attendees.

York ED is a busy trauma unit caring for approx. 90,000 new attendances per year. There are 5 consultant clinical tutors who form part of the award winning (HYMS teaching awards team excellence winner 2020) acute care education team. As a teaching fellow in York ED you will spend 2 days per week delivering shop-floor teaching to small groups of 4thyear students undertaking their acute care block, in addition to quarterly seminars. You will be supported by a clinical supervisor and have the opportunity to undertake additional training in medical education.
