This full-time, on-site Control System Design Engineer role in Colchester involves designing and commissioning industrial automation control and safety systems, including PLC programming, testing, and on-site commissioning. Required Skills & Experience: Proficiency in AutoCAD (evidence required). Experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, minimum). Expertise in systems, software, and hardware development. A degree in Control, Automation, or Electrical Engineering (preferred). Experience in PLC/SCADA system design and safety compliance. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., ProfiBus, Ethernet, DeviceNet). Experience with emulation and simulation software (advantageous). Strong communication skills. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required. Knowledge of the rail industry is a plus.
