POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Control Associate- Creative supports the Studio in all of print production materials to ensure that the final product is error free and on brand.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in English/Journalism preferred or equivalent work experience required.
* 2+ years experience in editing.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Excellent written and verbal skills.
* Highly organized.
* Must be able to work independently.
* Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
* Strong knowledge of grammar.
* Ability to prioritize workload.
JOB DUTIES
* *Work closely with the Project Managers/production team to ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner.
* *Keep production schedules on track during the transition into the nightshift.
* *Perform all quality control for the Studio which includes but is not limited to ensuring the following:
* All proofs are of perfect quality.
* Proofs pass proof control specifications set by us for the specification set by the publication/printer.
* Overprints are set correctly by having separations run as and when needed.
* *Check size/color space and resolution of all jobs leaving the studio either for release or approval: this includes making sure all jobs have the correct news/swop images and density specs etc.
* *Ensure completed job by studio meets the exact brief given in the tracker job ticket.
* Help Project Managers/production team to ensure that all files coming in are of suitable quality to work with at the start of the campaign or project.
* *Monitor the quality of all work produced in studio and support the Studio Manager and devise ways to stop the errors in future.
* *Ensure all operators file and name work correctly including the artists adhere to the appropriate workflows for any particular project.
* Help to release jobs during busy periods.
* Help to ensure all time and materials are logged on jobs by operators.
* Check all materials and brochures produced for specific clients.
* Work with the teams to ensure all marketing materials are on brief.
* Coordinate with World Writers for materials to be translated.
* When necessary, write copy points for the promotional materials.
* Constant communication with the account management teams.
