Our client, a leading technical distributor, is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to build and maintain relationships with existing partners. The company is a leader in their field and is looking for someone who can help drive the business forward with their fantastic people skills and technical ability. You will need to drive as the role requires you to visit customers on a regular basis. Previous experience in a similar Account Manager role is essential.
The Role
This is a busy role where you will be the primary point of contact for your allocated accounts. You will need to use your relationship-building skills to ensure that you maximize revenue from the accounts and provide first-class service. You will take responsibility for the customer and ensure that their needs are met on every level. You will need to have an analytical mind to produce reports on client data as well as market trends to identify opportunities for growth. You will be required to travel to customer sites on a regular basis; this will include overnight stays (average 1 per week).
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience as a Key Account Manager. You will need to have fantastic people skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels. You will be very customer-focused with a commercial mind and have the ability to pick up technical information with ease. Self-motivation is key, as well as the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
